The Oxygen Cocktail
Dr. Nikolai Sirotinin, a Soviet biologist, is credited with the development of the oxygen cocktail in the 1960s. His research focused on how to deliver oxygen to the body via alternative methods, as a complement to respiratory oxygen intake
Initially, oxygen cocktails were used in clinical settings for therapeutic purposes, particularly for pregnant women, children, and patients with respiratory or circulatory issues.
It was believed that ingesting oxygen through a foamy medium could provide supplemental oxygenation to the body, potentially benefiting individuals in environments with poor air quality.
The oxygen drink was born.
How It Works
Oxygen Generator: The cocktail is prepared using an oxygen generator that infuses pure oxygen gas into a liquid base.
Foaming Agent: A foaming agent, such as licorice root extract, is added to create a mousse-like consistency that can retain the oxygen.
Consumption: The foam is consumed, and the oxygen absorbed through the digestive tract.
